Silvana began her career writing for BBC magazines and soon progressed to senior writer on BBC Good Food. She worked as Food Editor for the M&S Magazine before launching into the world of television as Food Stylist and Writer on a variety of TV cookery programmes. After time off following the arrival of her son Fabio, Silvana is now happily sharpening her knives again, back at Fork.

Magazines
Silvana contributes to many leading magazines including Waitrose Seasons, Delicious, Good Food, Good Housekeeping, The M&S Magazine and Food & Travel.

Cook Books
Cookery books including Can’t Cook Won’t Cook, Leaves Home for BBC Books (1998), Pizza (2001) with Ryland Peters & Small, followed by Pasta (2002), Family Cooking (Quadrille 2003) and the Hi Lo Cookbook (BBC 2005).

On screen
Silvana appeared alongside Ainsley Harriott in Gourmet Express 2 and in 2002 she moved into primetime in her own right as one of the presenters of The Best, for BBC2. She has appeared several times on This Morning and has filmed two mini series for GMTV. Silvana appears in regular guest chef spots on Good Food Live and Saturday Kitchen. Her new television series the Hi Lo Club is currently airing on UKTV Food.
